About PlanITPoker

Free online planning poker for agile teams — built for fast, fair story point estimation.

PlanITPoker (https://www.planitpoker.net) is a free web application that helps agile and Scrum teams estimate user stories using planning poker. We built it because many estimation tools require accounts, paid plans, or desktop installs — friction that slows down sprint planning, especially for remote teams who just need a shared room and a deck of cards.

What PlanITPoker does

Facilitators create a room in seconds, choose a Fibonacci or T-shirt deck, and share a link or QR code with the team. Participants join with a nickname — no signup required. The facilitator adds user stories, everyone votes privately, cards are revealed together, and the team discusses until they agree on a story point value. Vote distribution charts help spot disagreement quickly.

Who uses PlanITPoker

Software development teams, product owners, Scrum masters, and agile coaches use PlanITPoker during sprint planning, backlog refinement, and release planning. The tool works equally well for co-located and distributed teams because every participant interacts through the same real-time room in the browser.

How we keep the service free

PlanITPoker is supported by advertising through Google AdSense and uses Google Analytics to understand how the product is used so we can improve it. We do not sell personal information. Session data in estimation rooms is temporary and not tied to user accounts. For details, read our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

Our content and guides

Beyond the planning poker tool itself, we publish original guides on agile estimation — planning poker fundamentals, Fibonacci scales, story points, remote facilitation, and sprint planning techniques. These articles are written to help teams run better estimation sessions, not to duplicate generic content from other sites. Browse the full library on our Guides page.
